The session took students on a fascinating journey through the evolution of cameras — from old-school film cameras to today’s powerful mobile phone cameras. Ms. Maya spoke about the purpose of photography, helping students understand that photographs are not just images, but stories, emotions, and perspectives frozen in time. She also introduced them to the art of seeing, encouraging them to look beyond the obvious and observe the world more thoughtfully.

The workshop concluded with an exciting hands-on activity where students applied their learning by clicking their own self-portraits — or ‘selfies’ — capturing not just faces, but confidence and creativity.

A truly enriching experience that sparked curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the art of photography!

Children’s Day at NGLS was a heartwarming reminder of what makes our students truly special. The day began with a beautiful morning assembly where our children were reminded that their kindness, compassion, curiosity, and diligence make a difference every single day. They don’t need to grow up to change the world — just being themselves is enough.

Our teachers shared stories and anecdotes from their own childhoods, which filled the hall with laughter, nostalgia, and a lovely sense of connection. The students enjoyed every moment and found pieces of themselves in those memories.

The celebrations continued into the evening with a cozy movie night — complete with popcorn, Pepsi, and an off-beat dinner of burgers, fries, and the all-time favourite, pastries!

It was a day filled with joy, bonding, and smiles — a day our children will cherish, just as we cherish them every day.
