Ms. Bhakar’s talk traced the journey across two contrasting worlds of education- one of leading schools with abundance resources at home and in school to working with students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Through my experience in classroom the belief that poor students have limited ability to learn and also have low IQ gets challenged. The new narrative reveals that underprivileged students do not lack ability to learn and succeed but lack enabling environments which are guaranteed to not so economically poor sections. If the right conditions are created in schools, the underprivileged students not just grow emotionally but intellectually too.

Pedagogy Innovation Conference by Educational Initiatives (Ei) set the stage for powerful conversations around research-driven education. The day opened with Sridhar sharing compelling insights from education research in India, followed by an inspiring keynote by Dr. Ravi on the importance of classroom-based research. Educators then presented research papers drawn directly from their own classroom practices.

A truly enriching day that viewed teaching and learning through the lens of data, reflection, and research.
